The World Latvian Economics and Innovations Forum will be held on July 5th in the National Library of Latvia, marking 10 years since the forum first brought together Latvian diaspora entrepreneurs and professionals from around the world to connect them with their Latvian counterparts.
This year’s forum will focus on important sectors for the development of the Latvian economy, including biomedicine, medical technology, pharmaceuticals, green technology, smart energy, transportation, and mobility. Participants will review the progress made in these sectors and hold discussions on their impact on the economy.
The forum will gather high-level state and municipal officials, including the President of Latvia, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Mayors of Riga and Liepaja, in addition to a number of successful entrepreneurs and professionals, including John Tully, Martin Gauss, Nils Melngailis, Roberts Grava, Vitalijs Skrivelis and many others.
This year’s forum will be divided into 4 thematic blocks:
- The development of the Latvian economy and investments;
- Workforce attraction and supply;
- Innovation in medicine and energy;
- The role of the country’s image in attracting businesses and tourists.
The working language will be English with translation to Latvian provided for certain panels.
