In preparation for these celebrations, a large amount of time and effort will be spent by many on what they will wear to the various celebratory events. For most Latvians, no doubt, this will be their national folk costume.
The Latvian National Cultural Centre together with “Each to Their Own Folk Costume” will be offering a Video of the Month on this topic.
12 months = 12 stories = 12 folk costumes. This is a great opportunity to take a closer look at a variety of Latvian national costumes and perhaps picking up a few ideas on fine tuning your own.
