In February 2004, The World Federation of Free Latvians (PBLA) began to collaborate with the Vitols Fund. Currently four students are studying with the support of PBLA scholarships: medicine, languages, jurisprudence and science. Elīna Romanovska, a recipient says “Thank you for your support and that you allow new professionals to grow, for whom the acknowledgment that we are supported is so important that it brings tears to the eyes, the heart to beat stronger and the brain to work harder!”.
Since PBLA began its collaboration 79 students have been supported and 185 scholarships granted with a total sum of 283 509 Euros having been donated.
The Minister for Education and Science, Kārlis Šadurskis said thank you to PBLA:” For the investment in an educated scientific community and for the future good of the nation.”
Pasaules brīvo latviešu apvienība (PBLA) sadarbību ar Vītolu fondu sāka 2004. gada februārī. Šobrīd studijas ar PBLA stipendiju turpina četri studenti, kuri studē medicīnu. valodniecību, jurisprudenci un eksaktās zinātnes. Stipendiāte Elīna Romanovska saka: ” Paldies, ka atbalstāt un ļaujat augt ar plašiem spārniem jaunajiem,topošajiem speciālistiem, kuriem tik ļoti nozīmīga ir apziņa, ka mums tic, ka mūs atbalsta, liekot acīm mirdzēt,sirdij pukstēt un prātam darboties!”
Kopš sadarbības pirmsākumiem PBLA ir atbalstījis 79 stipendiātus un sniedzis 185 stipendijas ar kopējo saziedoto summu 283 509EUR vērtībā.
Izglītības un zinātnes ministrs Kārlis Šadurskis izsaka pateicību PBLA: “Par ieguldījumu izglītotas sabiedrības zinātnes un valsts nākotnes labā.”
