Latvian nationals will be able to apply for Latvian passports and personal identity cards in Australia and New Zealand in October, 2017.
The Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the cooperation of the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs of the Latvian Ministry of Interior and Honorary Consuls of Latvia, will provide the opportunity for Latvian nationals living in Australia and New Zealand to apply for passports and ID cards via a Mobile Passport Work-Station visiting various cities between 9 October 2017 and 26 October 2017. Latvian nationals will, thereby, be able to apply for new personal identity documents without the need to travel to Latvia or the closest country with formal Latvian Consular representation, as they would otherwise need to do.
Required forms, information on supporting documentation requirements and locations for submitting are available from your closest Honorary Latvian Consulate (see link, below).
You will be able to submit completed forms and required documentation to Latvian Honorary Consulates in Australia in the following cities:
Perth 9-10 October,
Adelaide 12-13 October,
Melbourne 16-18 October,
Brisbane 20-21 October,
Sydney 22-24 October.
Latvian nationals permanently residing in New Zealand will have the opportunity to apply for passports and ID cards in Auckland on 26 October.

This is the third time that such a Mobile Passport Work-Station has been organized in Australia and New Zealand. 633 passport and ID card applications for Latvian nationals in six cities were processed during the most recent previous visit in 2014.
Oktobrī Austrālijā un Jaunzēlandē varēs noformēt personu apliecinošus dokumentus
Ārlietu ministrija sadarbībā ar Iekšlietu ministrijas Pilsonības un migrācijas lietu pārvaldi un ar Latvijas goda konsulu atbalstu laikā no 2017. gada 9. oktobra līdz 26. oktobrim īstenos braucienu ar mobilo pasu darbstaciju uz Austrāliju un Jaunzēlandi, lai tur dzīvojošajiem Latvijas valstspiederīgiem dotu iespēju noformēt jaunas pases un personas apliecības. Tādējādi Jaunzēlandē un Austrālijā dzīvojošajiem Latvijas valstspiederīgajiem jauna dokumenta saņemšanai nebūs jāceļo uz Latviju vai tuvāko valsti, kurā ir Latvijas pārstāvniecība.
Biometriskos datus iepriekš sagatavotajiem pieteikumiem tautieši varēs nodot Latvijas goda konsulātos Austrālijā:
Pertā (9. un 10. oktobrī),
Adelaidē (12. un 13. oktobrī),
Melburnā (16., 17. un 18. oktobrī),
Brisbanē, (20. un 21. oktobrī)
Sidnejā (22., 23. un 24. oktobrī).
Latvijas valstspiederīgie Jaunzēlandē jauniem personu apliecinošiem dokumentiem varēs pieteikties (Auckland) Oklendā (26. oktobrī).
Detalizēta informācija par darbstaciju laikiem katrā konkrētajā pilsētā un pieteikumam nepieciešamajiem dokumentiem ir pieejama Latvijas goda konsulātos Austrālijā.

Šis būs jau trešais Latvijas Ārlietu ministrijas rīkotais brauciens ar mobilo pasu darbstaciju uz Austrāliju un Jaunzēlandi. 2014. gadā uz Austrāliju un Jaunzēlandi īstenotā brauciena laikā sešās pilsētās tika noformēti 633 pasu un personas apliecību pieteikumi.
