Jau šī mēneša nogalē no 26. Līdz 31.decembrim notiks Latviešu Jaunatnes Apvienības Austrālijā (LJAA) rīkotās 34. Jaunatnes dienas. Šogad svētki tiks svinēti Adelaidē, Austrālijā.
Svētki iesāksies ar Jaunatnes dienu Svētbrīdi, setdien, 26. decembrī plkst. 11:00, Svētā Pētera baznīcā. Nākošajā dienā, 27.decembrī būs svinīgā dienu Atklāšana, kurai sekos tradicionālais daņču vakars. Pirmdienā būs iespēja izbaudīt Jauniešu koncerta sniegumu.
Otrdien, 29.decembrī uzstāsies slavenā Latvijas capella vokālā grupa “Latvian voices”. Ar savām balsīm kā vienīgo mūzikas instrumentu Latvian Voices ir radījušas individuālu vokālo stilu, kurā savijas dažādu tautu etniskās mūzikas intonācijas, jo sevišķi latviešu tautas mūzikas krāsas, ar tradicionāliem kormūzikas un popmūzikas elementiem. Papildus koncerti tiks sniegti arī Melburnā un Sidnejā.
Savukārt trešdien, 30. decembra pēcpusdienā notiks visiem labi pazīstamais un ļoti iemīļotais Tautas deju uzvedums.

At the end of this month, from the 26th to the 31st December, Latvian youth and friends will gather for the 34th Australian Latvian Youth Festival, organised by the Latvian Youth Association of Australia (LJAA), in this year’s host city, Adelaide.
The Festival will commence with a Blessing Service at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, 26th December at St.Peter’s Church. The following day, on 27th December will see the official Opening Concert, followed by the now traditional dance party. And then, on Monday, people can enjoy the Youth Concert.
Tuesday, 29th December, offers a concert by the well known Latvian “a capella” vocal group: “Latvian Voices”. With their voices as the only musical instrument singers from Latvian Voices have developed a unique individual vocal style, in which ethnic musical intonations of many nations intertwine. The most significant role in this kaleidoscope is allocated to Latvian folk music supplemented with elements of traditional choir music and popular music. Additional Latvian Voices concerts will be performed in both Sydney and Melbourne.
Then, on Wednesday, 30th December, all can gather for the customary and ever popular Folk Dancing performance.
In the tradition of the Youth Festival, festivities culminate with the New Year’s Eve ball on 31st December.
