DAY FOR LATVIAN EDUCATION. Open Day at the Latvian School of Adelaide
We are pleased to advise you that the Latvian School of Adelaide, with the support of the Latvian Federation of Australia and New Zealand’s Education Committee, will be holding an Open Day on 4 November 2017. As part of the Open Day, the Latvian School of Adelaide will be holding the following two activities:
A professional training seminar for Australian and New Zealand Latvian playgroup co-ordinators and assistants. Anyone who is interested in expanding their knowledge and their skills in existing latvian playgroups or those who wish to establish a new playgroup in their city for the purpose of teaching latvian, are invited to attend. The seminar will include participation in activities with the Adelaide Latvian playgroup, sharing of knowledge and informative style lectures. We anticipate that the seminar for playgroup coordinators run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (at the latest). Those attending from interstate will be provided accomodation with represenatives of the local Latvian community and may receive a contribution towards their travel to Adelaide.
An Open Day for school age children The Latvian School of Adelaide wishes to invite families with school age children who are interested in starting school at the Latvian School of Adelaide to come and join us. You will have the opportunity to observe the classes in which your child will be learning Latvian from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. Please note that children of any age can join the Latvian playgroup or Latvian School at any stage of the school year. Adults who wish to improve their Latvian are also welcome to attend adult classes.

Diena latviskajai izglītībai: Atvērtā durvju diena Adelaides latviešu skolā.
Šī gada 4.novembrī Adelaides latviešu skola sadarbībā ar LAAJ (Latviešu apvienības Austrālijā un Jaunzēlandē) Skolu nozari organizē ‘Atvērto durvju dienu’. Šīs dienas ietvaros Adelaides latviešu skolā notiks divi pasākumi:
- Profesionālās pilnveides seminārs Austrālijas un Jaunzēlandas latviešu spēļu grupu vadītājiem un palīgiem. Aicinām interesentus, kas vēlas gūt jaunu pieredzi un uzlabot darbu jau esošajās spēļu grupās vai vēlas organizēt savās pilsētās jaunas latviešu valodas apguves spēļu grupas. Programmā paredzēta atvērtā nodarbība Adelaides latviešu skolas spēļu grupā, pārrunas par redzēto un informatīva rakstura lekcijas. Kopējais pasākuma laiks spēļu grupu koordinatoriem no pl.9:00 līdz 15:00 (vēlākais). Naktsmītnes viesiem būs nodrošinātas pie vietējās latviešu sabiedrības pārstāvjiem, iespējama lidojuma daļēja atmaksa.
- Atvērtā durvju diena skolas vecuma bērniem. Adelaides latviešu skola šajā dienā aicina ģimenes ar skolas vecuma bērniem, kas ir ieinteresēti uzsākt mācības nākošajā mācību gadā Adelaides latviešu skolā. Jums būs dota iespēja ielūkoties, kā darbojas jūsu bērnu vecumam atbilstošās klases latviešu valodas stundās no pl.9:30-11:00.
Pievienoties latviešu skolai vai spēļu grupai var jebkurā vecumā un jebkurā laikā bērni un arī pieaugušie ar jebkuru valodas zināšanas līmeni.
