Our playgroup is a place where Latvian language and culture come to life through play, songs, and creative activities. We welcome preschool-aged children and their families to join us every Saturday at the Melbourne Latvian House from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (we take a break during school holidays).
The playgroup offers children the opportunity to socialise in a Latvian environment, develop language skills, and learn about Latvian traditions. We also celebrate Jāņi (Midsummer), Miķeļi (Harvest Festival), Christmas, and Easter. Our sessions are run by an enthusiastic group of parents who organise the educational program, special events, and excursions to zoos, children’s museums, farms, and parks.
